Music at Villa Russiz

Musica a Villa Russiz aims to be the beginning of a journey that intends to open the Villa Russiz Foundation to musical cultural events, as well as literary and artistic events in general.

"Following the positive experience of the charity concert by the renowned bluesman Mike Sponza with the Jazz Punt Big Band with Chamber String Orchestra 'Forma Musica,' which created a special moment of blues, jazz, and young talents in the Gorizia Collio area, we – explains the Foundation's president, Antonio Paoletti – together with the Board of Directors, have decided to embark on this new path where art can be combined with fine wine and excellent cuisine. In this endeavor, we will be joined by Mike Sponza, who will serve as the artistic director for music, to propose further moments of leisure and cultural enrichment in the coming months. But we will do so in a new way, involving the musicians, in this case, also bringing them to share the magic of music with our children at Casa Elvine, our family home, to introduce them to this world and contribute to their education, allowing them to experience firsthand the journeys that the artists participating in Musica a Villa Russiz have undertaken in their lives. The encounter between the bluesman Sponza and the Slovenian youth orchestra conveyed, through notes and words, the soundness of the choice to involve girls and boys with new opportunities."

The evening with bluesman Sponza was preceded by an institutional moment with a speech by Ornella Lippi, a member of the Foundation's Board of Directors, who, in conveying President Paoletti's greetings, thanked all friends and supporters of the Foundation whose commitment allows for new opportunities within the assistance and training programs carried out at Casa Elvine.

"Villa Russiz is good for everyone," commented Mike Sponza, "for the girls and boys of the family home first and foremost, but – he continued – also for those who arrive for the first time and then return, knowing its history. Discovering the reality of the Foundation and being able to combine it with the undeniable salvific power of music can add a small piece to achieving the main goal of supporting vulnerable children.
